Closing in on 6 months since I started attending CLC (Christ Lutheran Church, Millvale PA. (Joined November 11, 2018). Three things I’ve particularly enjoyed: (1) Being part of the choir. I’ve felt a sense of belonging from day 1 and an opportunity for ministry. (2) The preaching, teaching, and sermon songs of Pastor Scott, as well as his caring and that of his wife Deb. (3) Being part of a congregation that feels like family, an accepting family, one In which I feel at home, one that won’t look down on me for having different opinions or being different. I don’t have to leave my mind at the door to join in worship and fellowship. I thank you CLC, and I thank God for connecting me to you. And thanks, Diane Curry, for your role in inviting me.
You Are Welcome

More About Us
Christ Lutheran Church has served the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Millvale and surrounding communities since its founding in 1900. We gather each week to worship God through word, sacrament and singing. We work in the world to share the love of God by serving our local, national and global communities. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the center of our life of faith, providing direction, comfort and hope.
The Herbster Family chose CLC because it was easy! It might seem like an odd reason but life is busy, we all have obligations and responsibilities we must maintain. We are committed to keeping Christ as a focus in our lives and the friendly faces, options for worship and meaningful sermons every week make it an easy choice for our family.
In my teens, I stopped going to church when my parents stopped dragging me to church. Then I visited CLC Millvale. From day one, I felt like I was a part of a community. A month later, I joined. The cool thing… my teenage kids actually want to go too. I give them the choice every week. And every week they are dressed and ready. I don’t even have to drag them!
Come As You Are
There is no need to dress up unless it makes you feel comfortable.
Kids Have Questions
By teaching God’s lessons of love and support, we guide them through this confusing world.
We are inclusive and welcome all to worship with us.
