Pat Bauer

Director of Children's Music

Pat Bauer has been a life-long member of Christ Lutheran Millvale.  She has played for the music programs at CLC on and off from the time she was in High School, including substitute organist from time to time. She is also a member of the CLC choir. She holds a Bachelors  degree from West Virginia University in Music Education, and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Duquesne University.  Pat spent 2 1/2 years teaching in Parkersburg, West Virginia and 33 1/2 years in North Allegheny School District in Pennsylvania.  She has taught Band, Chorus, Orchestra, and General Music at the Middle School level, as well as Music Technology, Songwriting, and Theory at the High School level.  She also spent 7 years as the assistant Marching Band Director of the North Allegheny Marching Band.  She retired in 2018

As a singer, Pat sang opera at both West Virginia and Duquesne Universities.  She has toured Europe 3 times with the WVU Collegium Musicium – specializing in early music.  Some of her fondest memories include singing in the Vatican and the Cathedral of Notre Dame.  Now a drum circle facilitator, Pat works with all ages teaching drumming and has done Spiritual Drumming during the Lenten season here at CLC.  She loves making music with people of all ages.
